There is no formal requirement for a “Homeschool Letter of Assurance” in Texas since homeschooling is legally recognized as a form of private education. The Texas Statement of Assurance is a form that Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) members can use to ensure that they teach the five required subjects in a Texas homeschool: reading, spelling, grammar, mathematics, and good citizenship.
