Career Days, Career Exploration, and Educational Skills

As an Employer, What can I Expect Regarding Career Day?

Career day helps students connect what they are learning in homeschool with opportunities for work. We encourage our multiple business interviewees to share their workplace, job, education, and skills that are required for success. Homeschooled students will view a compiled online video to gather information regarding a desired industry and the career options it provides.

Employers who participate in our homeschool career day share online information about their company, their jobs, and the education, skills, and knowledge required for success in their careers.

“Career Day” helps students connect what they learn in school with the workplace. They listen to different individuals independently, seeking information about the industry and the career options it provides. They also learn about the participating businesses’ role in the local economy.

Why is this Important to Students?

  • Expose students to potential careers and job opportunities to help build occupational knowledge.
  • Demonstrate the education and training needed for entry into specific industries.

What are the Benefits of Participating as a Business?

  • Exposes potential future workers to job opportunities and careers within your business and the need for specific skills and education to be successful.
  • Helps employees learn how to communicate to the next generation of workers.
  • Engage employees with your educational commitment and connect your business to the community.

What do I need to do next?

  • Determine who will provide an industry-based questionnaire and online interview to be recorded to Homeschool Bunny.
  • Share information regarding our Homeschool Career Days activities with the selected employee(s).
  • Consider any impacts on company policy. (We do not allow proprietary information to be shared.)
