Course Overview

The First Aid and CPR course provides participants essential skills and knowledge to respond to various medical emergencies confidently and effectively.

Designed for beginners and those seeking certification or recertification, this course covers basic life-saving techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), wound care, managing choking, addressing shock, and handling other urgent situations. Through hands-on training, participants learn how to assess emergencies, administer aid safely, and stabilize patients until professional help arrives.

The course aims to build confidence, empower participants, and promote community health and safety.

You Will Be Able to:

Develop Fundamental First Aid Skills

    • Identify common medical emergencies and apply appropriate first aid techniques.
    • Safely manage injuries, such as cuts, burns, fractures, and sprains, using the correct procedures and equipment.

Understand and Perform CPR

    • Demonstrate correct CPR techniques on adults, children, and infants.
    • Recognize signs of cardiac arrest and promptly initiate CPR.

Manage Airway Obstruction and Choking Situations

    • Identify and respond effectively to choking in both conscious and unconscious individuals.
    • Learn and practice the Heimlich maneuver and back blows.

Prevent and Respond to Shock and Severe Injuries

    • Identify symptoms of shock and provide immediate care.
    • Learn to address severe bleeding and potential spinal injuries.

Use Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

    • Understand AED functions and safety considerations.
    • Practice AED application in simulated emergency scenarios.

Promote a Safe and Prepared Environment

    • Understand the importance of personal safety and proper use of protective equipment.
    • Gain knowledge in emergency preparedness, including creating first aid kits and understanding emergency protocols.

Course Outcomes:
Upon completing this course, participants can confidently perform basic first aid and CPR, respond to choking emergencies, manage injuries and wounds, and utilize an AED when necessary.
