Course Overview

This course is designed to equip students with essential skills for independent living and self-care and to inspire personal growth. Through hands-on practical exercises, discussions, and real-life scenarios, students will learn to manage daily responsibilities, build healthy relationships, make informed decisions, and develop problem-solving skills.

The curriculum focuses on financial literacy, emotional and social well-being, personal organization, health, and safety. This course aims to build confidence, foster resilience, and help students become self-sufficient and responsible members of their communities.

You Will Be Able to:

Financial Literacy

    • Understand and manage a personal budget.
    • Recognize the basics of income, expenses, savings, and credit.
    • Practice decision-making skills related to spending and saving.

Personal and Home Organization

    • Develop strategies for organizing personal spaces and belongings.
    • Practice time-management techniques to balance daily responsibilities.
    • Understand the basics of meal planning, grocery shopping, and simple food preparation.

Self-Care and Health

    • Recognize the importance of physical and mental health.
    • Develop routines for personal hygiene, nutrition, exercise, and sleep.

Safety and First Aid
