Course Overview
Pre-Algebra is an introductory course designed to prepare students for studying algebra and higher-level mathematics. This course strengthens essential math skills, including operations with integers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Students will explore mathematical concepts such as ratios, proportions, and introductory geometry. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to help students apply mathematical reasoning in real-world situations.
You Will Be Able to:
Understand and perform operations with whole numbers, integers, fractions, and decimals.
Apply concepts of ratios, rates, and proportions to solve real-world problems.
Use variables and expressions to represent mathematical relationships.
Understand and calculate percentages and apply them in various contexts.
Solve basic one-step and two-step equations and inequalities.
